Henriquez Partners Architects, founded in 1969, is an architectural studio in Vancouver, Canada. Their buildings have received design awards for architectural excellence. The studio has led and completed large-scale projects, including the $330M Woodward’s Redevelopment, TELUS Garden Building, Mirvish Village and Oakridge. Working as a graphic designer at Henriquez, I was asked to work in the Project Reference Library. They needed to have important files and information on previous architectural projects organized in one place so that team members had quick and easy access to the files. The solution I proposed was to design a website accessible to all employees through the intranet of the company. Relying on visuals like the project's photographs and an interactive location map any new employee would easily find drawings, reports, renders, building programs, fun facts, photos and essential project information in seconds and would fastly get familiarized with all the projects upon usage.
